Take My Party. Please.

Posted by Michael Dolan on August 27, 2012 in Uncategorized |

When Republicans adopted their usual tough anti-abortion amendment for the party platform just before their convention, some Democrats labeled the language the “Akin Amendment.”

The opponents wanted to tie the entire party to the weird comment by Missouri Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin that referred to “legitimate rape.”

Finally, the Dems show a semblance of political language creativity and effectiveness.  But they are not really running with it.

They should also be making fun of Republicans for their postponed convention.  How about: “These guys want to run your future finances.  Economic Forecasts!  They can’t even understand Weather Forecasts.”

There is no defense against the well aimed, well timed joke.
